Most people use Facebook to keep in touch with friends and family, but what you may not know is that there are tons of companies out there who are using Facebook to market their products and services. If you’re looking to grow your brand and make money, then having a page is essential. Luckily, we’ve put together this step-by-step guide on how to monetize your Facebook page while also following the rules so that you can start monetizing as soon as possible!
Why You Need an Admins Group
Do you want your page to grow organically with the help of an admin group, or would you rather purchase traffic and views from Facebook? A strong community is what makes pages grow; by following these rules, an admin group can add members who will both help with social media interactions and hopefully become new customers.
Rule #1: Change your privacy settings to Friends only.
Rule #2: Talk regularly on social media, but don’t overdo it! Once a day is a plenty
Rule #3: Respond positively when people comment or message your posts. When they have a problem, try resolving it on their timeline instead of yours so that everyone in their friend network sees how awesome you are for fixing something for them.
Ads Layout
Don’t let your money-making opportunity go to waste. Traffic on your Facebook page may be driven by engagement with likes, shares, and comments. Keep up with good content while earning traffic by following these rules:
Rule #1 – You must complete your profile information so that you can connect with new followers.
Rule #2 – The links that are included in posts should link back to a post on the website or feed where they were shared (regardless of how much attention those posts receive). Limit ads to five per post for video views, three per post for link clicks, and one per post for text ad clicks.
Rule #3 – Social mentions may not have embedded ads unless it is in a quote format from an individual endorsing you or your business.
Choosing Your Targeting Options
On the right side of your News Feed in desktop view, you’ll see an option for Why am I seeing this post? Clicking on this link will take you through your Views–or when you’ve clicked on a post from a page, liked it, and then engaged with that page again in a different way. If you haven’t interacted with any posts from a particular page yet, or have never liked or followed that page on Facebook, that section will be blank. You can change your targeting options to either show more posts from Pages (selecting less restrictive) or show fewer posts from Pages (selecting more restrictive).

Remarketing
First, let’s talk about how a company can promote itself on Facebook. There are two options when it comes to adding paid content: ads or sponsored posts. Ads are created specifically for a certain audience of people to create awareness about your business and your products/services. Sponsored posts are when you pay money to have your post shown to users who like your page but aren’t connected with any promotions. The problem is that sponsored posts are not allowed under current monetization rules unless there is a creative solution added – such as adding an interactive element (clickable link, form fields) – which at this time is not available.
Analytics Tools
An analytics tool helps you analyze what is working for your brand or business on social media. Social media analytics can also reveal emerging trends, show you potential partnerships, teach you how your audience is engaging with you and provide valuable insights into who your target market may be. An integral part of choosing an analytics tool is having a list of criteria that reflects what is important to you so you can filter and sort the data to gain real insight into your social media marketing efforts.
Which analytics tool should I use?
There are many different types of analytics tools out there that can help answer these questions. Popular social media analytic tools include Moz Analytics, Hootsuite Pro, and Google Analytics, just to name a few.
Video Monetization Guide
Facebook recently rolled out its monetization policy, which allows page owners to insert videos from YouTube or Vimeo into their page. Now that you can upload video content on your page, you have an opportunity for better engagement with customers. However, it’s also important that you abide by all of Facebook’s guidelines for monetizing content to avoid having your account disabled.
