Your Facebook profile and cover are your first impressions to people who don’t know you, so it’s important to make them as classy as possible. This will set the tone that you want to convey, whether it’s your personality or your brand (or both!). Follow these simple tips to create a classy Facebook profile and cover that makes people take notice.
Download Photoshop
While not everyone has access to Adobe Photoshop, it is still possible to create custom images for your profile with the use of other software. After following these easy steps, you’ll be ready for your next Facebook profile update:
Start by opening any word processing program that saves in .jpg format. Then insert an image as the first frame on the timeline of your text document. This can be anything from an existing stock photo to a drawing you have created yourself. Save this file as Profile Photo 1 -Next, open another document with an empty timeline (which should show up as transparent). At the bottom of this new document, click Insert and then click Text, or just hit CTRL+T on your keyboard.
Choose a layout
What you put on your cover photo is up to you, but here are some factors that will make it easier for people who don’t know you to understand what type of person you are. The first step is deciding which types of photos resonate with you the most: *Glamorous – formal pictures that showcase elegance. *Romantic – close-ups, nature, portraits. *Relaxed – silly photos, with pets or children in natural settings. Once you’ve made this decision, figure out if your personality fits more with glamour or romance. From there it’s time to start looking at layouts based on these two categories.

Design your profile picture
Now that you have your profile set up, let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. It is time for you to start making the most out of it by working on your photos. The first thing you will want to do is upload your photo that will be featured as your profile picture. Ideally, this picture should be taken in high resolution (you know, one of those pictures that looks like it could be from National Geographic) and is clear so everyone can see the entire image.
Design your cover photo
Set your photo to an appropriate size: For profile pictures, this is the basic Profile Photo setting on the left-hand side of the editing screen. For cover photos, this is the Custom option on the right-hand side of your editing screen.
Upload your custom images
The first step is finding an awesome picture for your profile. Get creative, you’re only limited by your imagination! It doesn’t have to be an absolute shot of you, but it should be something that expresses what you stand for. You can also create custom graphics in programs like Adobe Photoshop or with applications like Picmonkey.
Keep in mind that while an image or graphic with words may work well as the cover photo, photos without words might be best for the profile pic so it’s easier to tell who the person is.
