What is the Technology Development Program (TDP)?
Accenture’s TDP is a two-year, global program that provides hands-on technical training in addition to personal and professional development opportunities. The TDP starts with six months of immersive training at our world-class facilities in Dublin, Ireland. During this period, you will learn best practices in our technologies and work on complex business projects that require problem-solving skills under real deadlines.
Graduates of the TDP will be among the first professionals globally to have a deep understanding of key technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Blockchain as well as expertise in digital transformation techniques such as Agile delivery and DevOps. After successful completion of your initial training stint in Ireland, you can choose between international postings or remaining within your home country.
How does TDP fit into my professional development plan?
A few years ago, I graduated from college with a degree in computer science. However, it was not until a year after graduation that I realized that, while there are no graduate programs offered to teach me more advanced computer sciences, there are many interesting roles within the industry that could use my skillset. This feeling only grew as I looked into companies like IBM and Google.
When I looked at Google’s online jobs portal, almost all of the positions listed were engineering positions requiring a bachelor’s in engineering or computer science. And then the thought hit me- What if an undergraduate degree is enough? To find out, I started to research different educational programs offered to undergraduates with expertise in software development and systems analysis.
